What is the GSSA?

The Graduate Sociology Students’ Association (GSSA) represents the interests of graduate sociology students at the University of Toronto. We serve as a liaison between the students and department to ensure that graduate student concerns are heard. The GSSA also organizes activities for the graduate student community in our department, including social events (e.g., yoga, pub nights) and academic events (e.g., advice on comprehensive exams, writing clinics, academic pathways conferences).

If you are a current Sociology student, please read the GSSA’s statement opposing the Student Choice Initiative.
